  • Who is the artist behind Crave Art?

My name is Charles Brian Craveiro. Funny thing—I never knew my first name was Charles until I was 14 or 15, filling out a Social Security card. We were moving to Adana, Turkey, and the family needed passports. I had always gone by the name Brian.

But let's start at the beginning

I was born in Roswell, New Mexico—yes, the infamous Roswell with the alien crash, where the alien bodies were supposedly found. (All true, by the way.) I grew up moving from state to state and country to country, the child of a U.S. Air Force officer. From Michigan to Nebraska, California to Montana, and eventually overseas to Turkey and Spain—I had a front-row seat to cultures, cuisines, and chaos.

I graduated high school in Madrid after a brief detour involving hash. I got my own apartment downtown and had a few unforgettable nights—nights that can leave permanent fingerprints on your soul.

After a stint at a military institute back in Roswell and college in California, I rejoined my family in Brindisi, Italy, where my love for fine food and wine really started to take root. That passion led me to Las Vegas, where I earned a degree in hotel hospitality and spent 25 years mastering my craft as a bartender. I earned my stripes as a baby sommelier, cicerone, and cocktail craftsman.

I always had art in my soul but never believed I had any talent. Then, one day at 28, a friend hired me to help refurbish some restaurants. One night, on a whim, I sketched a motorcycle from a magazine—no erasing, no training, just instinct. It came out nearly perfect.

"You're an artist," my buddy Clayton said.

    I believed him—and I never looked back.

I'm blessed to share my life and journey with my incredible wife Pamala-my soulmate-whose love and support brings meaning to everything I do. Who I married in only four months ! We eloped in the wine country in Sonoma in the Redwood forest on a mossy bridge. You couldn't have found a more perfect spot! Together we have raised three amazing children who fill me with pride every day. Our oldest Brianna ( from a previous wifey,) is a Ball State Graduate who continues to inspire her younger siblings on a daily basis. Our son Ryder is forging his own path at UNLV, and our youngest, Sophea, is preparing to begin her journey at the University of the Pacific.

Watching them grow into such driven, thoughtful, kind individuals is one of my greatest joys. I'm endlessly proud of all three of them and deeply grateful for the life that my wife and I have created.

My work is shaped by life experiences, infused with the flavors of the world and the wild unpredictability of life's journey. I'm an old hippie who loves music and vibing with all walks of life. I'm also a researcher—fact-checking conspiracies, studying the history of banking, aliens, multidimensional theories, and how we create our reality through thoughts, emotions, and beliefs.

For inspiration in my artwork, I draw heavily from the visionary styles of Van Gogh, Dali, Picasso, and Alex Grey, blending their influence into my own evolving aesthetic. Lately, I’ve been diving into cubism—a new frontier for me—as a way to push the boundaries of my creativity. Much of my inspiration comes from a mix of internet imagery, vivid dreams, and psychedelic experiences. Like Dali, I’m fascinated by the subconscious, and I try to channel that dream logic into every piece I create.

I feel that every brushstroke is a postcard from somewhere I’ve been—or somewhere I’ve dreamed of going.

I hope you enjoy looking at my art, and I deeply appreciate anyone who takes the time to visit my website.

Wishing all of my fellow soulmates a happy and joyous life!
